Gerania Mountains (Duskia), Pisia, Schinos, Loutraki, St. Patapios

The Gerania Mountains extend from Megara to Loutraki and Heraion and are surrounded by the Saronic Gulf and the Corinthian Gulf. The mountain is full of pines, oak trees, holm oaks, alleys, myrtle trees and plane trees and at its highest points you meet the Kefalonia fir.

Its fauna consists of jackals, foxes, hares, hawks and others. And the whole area is protected by "Natura 2000".

According to myth, the name of the mountain comes from the cranes (long-necked birds). During the cataclysm, at the time of Deucalion, the Mansion, the son of Zeus and the nymph of Sintis, to save himself swam to the tops of the mountain, driven by the cries of the cranes flying from above.
